P4 and dual prime?

Thread Starter
i have just overclocked my intel pentium 4 478 to 3.4 from 3ghz, i intend to not stop here though. when i stress test i use 1 prime95 but when i check the cpu usage it is roughly at 50-60% so i was wondering do i run dual prime so that the virtual core is also used in hyperthreading...or am i correct to only run one?

Generally If you are Able to Carry out all the Tasks you do with No problems then you should be fine.

hmm this is nice to know, as i know BF2 is very demanding on full graphics, and also im sure if it passes one prime 95 then it is stressing the core as the other one is only a virtual one, but i shall run dual prime95 just to make sure but if it fails after a long time does this mean i will just need more voltage or does it mean i cant overclock any higher, and does the Hyper threading make overclocking harder should i disable it?

To test the Overclock to see if its Fully stable then You need to Run dual Prime one on the Physical Core and one on the Logical core..for this you need HT on, HT wont actually affect your oc and to tst the Full stability of your CPU you need HT on.
