Yeh it must have been because when i fold i open speedfan and always put the speed to 100% and it drops a few degrees but looks like it sucks in heaps more dust. A was so confused because over the months i did notice the temps slowly creeping up an up but i never knew why, i always thought i was because it was coming into summer but i was wrong, but thats a good thing.

That's pretty intense. You should have snapped a couple "hall of shame" pics. LOL

Glad you are back functional again. If it does get really hot over the summer though, you ought to be able to turn the voltage down at stock speed to reduce the temps some.

CPU fan = toasted.

You should get a filter for your intake fan if/when you do end up buying a new heatsink.

I will be without internet from Wednesday to Sunday due to TG break, so I won't have any WU submissions during that time, just a heads-up.

I got a virus on my laptop. I am trying to fix it right now but in the mean time I am not folding.

Hopefully it doesn't take long to fix, all it seems to do is hide my start menu and desktop icons. LOL

Wussy virus, hopefully I will be crunching again soon.

EDIT: All fixed.

I had a virus like that once. All i did was press ctr+alt+del and started explorer.exe from there and i got it fixed from there.

Well, it wasn't quite fixed I guess. So basically I am sick of Windows and I am going to wipe it and install Linux once it's done downloading. If you want to know what the problem is, it seems to be one of those un-fixable Windows problems.

"The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted." Event ID 1002.

It seems to be a corrupted Winlogon.exe that is doing it. I cleaned the Registry as much as I could but Explorer.exe still crashes and restarts every ~15 seconds. VERY annoying.

Linux it is then!
