Memory Timings

Thread Starter
Hi, i am having problems with my memory timings.

I have got two sticks of 512mb ram (PC3200)... but the frequency is at 171.2mhz, i want it at 200mhz to run at the 400mhz it supposed to (if thats understandable lol)...

Timings
Frequency - 171.2mhz
FSBRAM - 1:1
CAS# Latency - 3.0 Clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay - 3 Clocks
RAS# Precharge - 3 Clocks
Cycle Time (Tras) - 3 Clocks

I have an Abit AN7 Mobo, and a Athlon XP 3000+, if that helps...
- My Bios is... Phoenix Tech, LTD - Version 6.00 PG

Bus width 64bits??? - What does this mean?

Thanks for any help, much appreciated

Set your FSB ratio to AUTO and it should default to DDR400.

Have you reset the CMOS on the old board? I know its a simple thing but you could have overlooked it?

I see his 3000+ running @ 177MHZ so it's probably a 166/333 default set up!

If he is running a FSB of 171 and sets the memory to AUTO it defaults to DDR400 or 200MHz.
So unless his CPU excedes the 200MHz FSB he should be just fine!
