Which processor should I get?

Thread Starter
i have a 7800gs and my games don't run smoothly probably due to my processor (or my chipset, getting a new motherboard btw) when a lot of action is going on or rendering in battlfield 2(high settings), oblivion, and f.e.a.r, it drops under 10-0 fps. i'm wondering which processor should i get. i don't know much about processors, so help me decide please.

teh 3700 sd is a great cpu for gaming and overclocking. if you are on a budget then get a 3200 venice. make sure you get a socket 939 board and not a 754

AMD Sempron SKT754 2800
Asus K8N Nforce 3 250GB

under 150$, and it will bring out the true preformance with the 7800GS

That would be a good choice CPU for a budget, but for mobo check out some of the DFIs, they have some real good prices, and they are very good OCers and pretty stable
