Well when flashed to an XTPE it will Increase the CORE and MEM speeds and will Increase your FPS by a pretty good amount..Before doing this though make sure you have Sufficient cooling on the card firts as the Increased speeds will produce More heat.

well i know the clock speeds increase, right now i'm running my card at 550/610, pe speeds are 540/590. my card never goes above 55c. what i'm asking is it still the same pixel shader technology and everything

Yes the only changes to the card are clock frequency changes
Triple post FTW

You should be able to reach a higher gpu core than that. Obviously cards vary, but I run at 600mhz on air cooling and am about to volt mod my card. The highest I've seen with a volt mod is 710 core and it got 8800 on 3DMark05 Btw, try out the NGO drivers over at guru3d.com. I was able to get much higher clocks with those and have better image quality.

Pixel shaders will remain the same..Just Frequincies on your Clocks will change.

ok thanks, i'll try out some different drivers, the speeds i run arn't what i found my card would max out at. just what i found to be very reliable. also, when you volt mod, do the temps go up a lot?

Yes like Everything Extra volts will cause more heat.
