its actually known now that intel is going to make you pay to unlock your non unlocked CPU's.
but i'm not really seeing any improvement over the current i7 cpus with sandybridge..sooo i'm going to wait and see how bulldozer does. ivy bridge will be way too much money for me
Why is it bad if they charge you to unlock processor? It's not like you have to pay them. And it is a good way to increase the life of you system. Instead of buying a new processor for $XXX, you can just unlock your current one for $30
Just wait for the 6th, when the NDA expires.
