Especially since the 470s only have 1.25 GB of VRAM.
I've considered purchasing two additional monitors and one more 470 (for tri sli) and go 2D/3D Nvidia surround but I've been concerned about the limited VRAM of the 470.

Have your temps decreased significantly since your build with the 360/240 rads?
The third monitor arrives today. I do have mostly shooters, ie metro 2033, crysis, warhead, re5, lost planet, mafia 2, gta iv. I'm a bit concerned about limited vram on the 470s but I have yet to find out. I'm working on the stand while studying for finals. I'll get into the games once I'm up and running by next weekend. If the gtx 470s are struggling, I might jump to three 6950s 2gb.
Tnx for the comments

I'm doing a little paint on the steel brackets I used to match the satin finish of the Tyke stand. If all turns out well, I will post a log in the Monitor section. So far its under budget, sans extra tools I had to get
