Can't get XBCD to work

I plug in my controller and I ran the software

and i run it, and windows XP keeps saying "detected new device" and I did it and it keeps doing it

but when i go to control panel and then controllers its not in there.


this is VERY annoying. I just want the controller to work

Hi.

I have the same problem. Windows XP is showing a pop-up ballon saying there was a problem with the initialization of the controller, and keeps "refreshing" the pop-up.

What did you do to solve the problem?
