After applying Ceramique, the paste will harden and bond more tightly between the core and the heatsink, where as in AS5 is a more liquid type of paste and is much easier to clean off, but doesn't do as good a job as ceramique.

I wonder if that liquid metal stuff works...? Supposed to be better than AS5, but my opinion is that if you have a good heatsink, it really doesn't matter THAT much...unless it's like plastic between cpu and heatsink, lol. also, that liquid metal rips holes in aluminum heatsinks, so probably not a good idea...just throwing it out there, lol

Hah, I'm using the cheap generic stuff that shipped with my motherboard (one reason I bought it). I think I still have the thermal pad on my stock heatsink if there ever was one... And hey! I still have great temps for an Athlon XP at stock speeds (never peaks above 46C).
