"Oldblivion" (for lower end computer) - Page 5

I'm glad to see this thread up.

Highly_Annoyed, I don't like most of your posts nor do I take them seriously. I got pretty sick of your, "If you can afford this $30 game you should be able to afford a $50 card" SNOBBY attitude about 2 pages into the thread and I stopped taking your posts seriously.

This mod actually is successful.

On my old Athlon 64 3000+ I was getting maybe 8-10 FPS outside with my 7600GT. Using Oldblivion and the Streamline mod I was able to get 30 FPS and the game still looked really good, it only looked like the distance wasn't good but I didn't like having the distance look good and affecting performance near me.

You're hating on this mod because you obviously have a chip on your shoulder.

What this mod does is essentially give you the same performance you'd get with Oblivion with Ultra low settings, but you can use higher settings, hence the comparison of the Ultra low settings and Oldblivion high settings.

I don't get why you spent so much time in this thread knocking the mod. Do you have a lower end computer? No? Well then stay out of this thread because it's not for you. For some people, spending $30 on Oblivion is bad enough, another $60 means no food for college.

Sorry to read you took my input to this thread in completely the wrong way. If you take the time to consider my position carefully and look into all the supporting evidence, you should have no problem understanding my point of view on the issue and you should be able to see the inherent cogency of it. Still, as said; it's a dead thread. I have no desire to start the argument up again. If you disagree with my conclusions and dislike my posts, that's fine, you're welcome to do so.

Highly-Annoyed
