The connectors came! When I get a chance I will sleeve the cords and update the op.

hehe yeah those are the connectors I got, well in orange .

BTW, do you know or have you seen connectors like that, or at least better looking than the standard ones, for IEC C7 connectors?

I have an auxiliary PSU that uses one of those

Its really not that bad, for small stuff like this. It takes about a week or so to get to you but overall you saved some cash.

More than "some" cash hehe. The original connectors cost around $90. EACH

But you can get the similar ones on ebay too, and since this ain't an audiophile project it doesn't matter as long as the prongs are made of metal and the construction is sturdy enough (and the plastic isn't really colored caramel ;P)

Dude, you gotta stop I feel like i am going to have to steal all of your ideas lol.

I am off to ebay to find some red ones.

I liked the original sleeved power cable, I like the IEC better.... It's really beefy. I don't know tho the original might go with your case better just because of the sleekness.

I need to find another thick PSU cable cause i think it will look better with a beefy cable. I have one that came with my power supply but i don't wanna cut it up it's like twice the gauge of a regular one.

LOL, exactly, the audiophile ones are uber pricey, but many of the cheap ones on ebay will do just fine.

Heres the trick for a beefy cable, you can find one, or just double or triple up the sleeving. It will add that extra beef without having to get another cord.

And no worries man, the IEC connector mod in no way was an original idea by me. Lots of people have probably done that, just no one has posted a guide. So feel free to do it, just remember to post pics!

Mine says 14 gauge on the side having some trouble finding another one that's not 25 foot long and under $20 bucks. So might have to double up, or tape it or something to make it look more beefy.

Just for reference. Normal one to the left beefy to the right.
