Currently using PZ III A LT and going for the DW2 HT (I heard it sucks but I have to use it to get to the really good german tanks). I'm also enjoying sniping with my Marder 38t TD

Any tips for a newcomer?

Play all trees at the same time. This way you can learn both strengths and weaknesses of the tanks you use/face and not just state that German tanks are harder to play.

I just heard they were harder to play. Problem with doing multiple lines is you don't advance very fast

True, but even if it takes more time to get tier 10 tanks, it is better. Last night me and my clan mates were speaking about low players that are doing few HT t10 instead of doing med, heavy, tank destroyer and arty. If you have many heavy tanks and not much of other tanks, on CW it is not so good. Your, lets say is-7 is blocked and map is not suited for e100 it is problem. If you have med instead of that e100 you can still play CW but just changed role.

I've played this game for over 3 years already and I find all lines pretty balanced (not in confrontation though).

By playing all lines you can move to another tank if you get killed. Just exit the battle and play the other tank.

I would also strongly suggest to get the premium account. It makes the game much more enjoyable.

1. Know your tank and the role it plays, scout, sniper, brawler etc...
2. Know other tanks and their weakspots. Especially at higher tiers. I love seeing people trying to pen jpe100, e100, maus top of the turret.
3. Know your maps and where the enemy typically goes. Also know your team and where they are going. Lemming line down 1 side is never a good sign...
4. Don't be stupid and rush out when there's a bunch of td's that haven't been spotted yet. Chances are you will die quick... This game involves serious patience.

Basically whoever makes the first tactical mistake will die...this game is a lot about strategy...

And if your goal in the game is just to get T10 then you are playing it wrong.

T10 is propably the most boring thing in the game and just unplayable without platoons unless you play something stupidly overpowered like WT E100, FV215B 183, T57 Heavy etc.

T8 is where this game is at!

That's great advice, thanks. How do you typically scout and not die?

Also, I'm going for "fun" tanks and tanks I think are cool. I'm not going for tier 10, maybe a tiger then start another line

If you want fun free so to the French BDR. IMHO, best tier 5 tank in the game hands down. The top gun is so op you can power creep in tier 6 games quite easy... 2 shot every tier 4 tank in the game and typically takes 2-3 shots to kill tier 5 tanks makes it a breeze. So easy to rack up over 1k DMG in tier 5 every game...

Scouting should be done later in the game. The scout guns should be enough to snipe lightly or passively scout. Then as it gets more of a challenge to determine where the enemy tanks are as

BDR is poor.. The one and only king of heavy tier 5 tanks is KV-1. It is mobile bunker with far better gun then BDR (not penetration but much faster reload and still decent dmg). I remember playing this tank for fun with my clan mates. Perked crew and we were facerolling everything even on tier 7 games ;D
