I had a pretty good game today on my Tiger P.

I killed those two IS and Tiger P solo while they were capping our base (abusing 15m bush camo) then rngesus outplayed me and I hit the ~500hp Tiger I on tracks TWICE and got killed...

I would tend to agree, I had a pretty good (bad) loss in my Centurion on Sand River. It came down to me vs an ARL V39, T25/2, Rhoomba, WZ 131 and an E25. I managed to kill all of them except the Rhm, I donked my second to last shot into the ground and I couldn't get two more into him before he finally killed me. But I guess 1400 base XP on a loss isn't terrible. Its funny because the enemy Pershing was calling me a camper when I went all the way to their base and back when I saw our north crumble.

We'll... Gotta keep it going. Finally starting to build back up my win rate. This weekend completely owned my win rate.

Lol iPhone photo effects with wotlabs...

I'm on the s35 and moving toward the arl 39v. It's an interesting tank. Pretty good gun as long as you don't snipe with it... Does great alpha for tier 5. The arls stats don't look great for the guns or armoment... We shall see! I've got everything unlocked on the amx 50 100 now finally and wow! The top engine makes the tank 1000000 better. It's quite incredible the speed and maneuverability of the tank with the top engine now.... Much more fun to play.

I'm working to the AMX 50-100 right now, just unlocked the turret on the M4-45 so I can get the AMX when I grind up enough XP. Hopefully it is pretty fun to play.

http://www.wotreplays.com/

It will not only make reply available, but, all details about the match (as in above screens), so, you don't have to spend a lot of time making screens to post here thumb.gif

Much effort to check which replay is which :l
I use the software from VBAddict so they get automaticly up

Honestly? It can be pretty frustrating at times, especially on maps that favor heavies and are straightforward and you can't flank anyone.
The tank really shines mid/end game when the game is already like 10-10 or something, you can easily 1v1 people and clip anyone you face basicly, especially if you have managed to sustain your HP up until that point.
But it is still my all time favorite tank after the IS I think, I just love that thing even with the rather horrid accuracy and stuff :l

So War Thunder: Ground Forces is now in Open Beta. Anyone played it yet? Thoughts and Opinions on how it compares to WoT?

I'm going to download it later today and give it a shot. From the early reviews, it looks like it fixes a lot of the complaints that I have against Wot, especially the Historically accurate mode (no invisible tanks, no auto aim, no artillery)

Update after playing 45 minutes:
  • + Amazing Graphics although heavily taxing on the GPU - 60 fps in Wot is about 35 fps in WT:GF
  • + Large maps without invisible tanks, you can seem them across the map
  • = Interesting research system with a large number of options to tweak; Different, but not better than Wot
  • - Terrible User Interface in battle makes it hard to understand what is really happening
  • - Low number of tanks at this point
  • - Tanks drive like they are on butter (i feel like i can drift in a tank)

It will certainly give WoT a run for its money after it gets some much needed tweaks

I've definitely heard some good things about war thunder's ground forces... I've also heard some dumb stuff about it. They will definitely be similar and give and take in certain areas.

Oh well. I find the game frustrating and fun at times. I really think war thunder has WAY WAY better graphics than WOT. Like, cant even compare.

The drifting gets better in realistic and sim battles. I can agree with the UI, but it's the War thunder UI and in general it's not as streamlined as it could be.

I was going to try WTGF but I can't seem to register, it says the site has a redirect loop. Downloaded the client already, should I just wait a few days since it just hit open beta?
