Problem with atitool 0.25

Thread Starter
Am running the latest ati tool & am overclocking my mobility radeon 9600 from 336 mhz to 400mhz core & mem from 243 mhz to 300 mhz.

The only problem i have is that whenever i run a game it sets my clock speeds back to default....any reason why its doing this, tis not much use if it keeps doing it !!

For the 9600 series there was a tab somewhere that alowed to unlock and save the clocks. Search for some advanced options... darn' it was over a year ago and i don't remember exactly.
I think (thow not sure) that for the 9600 series the problem was in the drivers. Stock ATI drivers prevented OCing for the 9600series, so they probably do it for the mobile 9600 too. What should you do is to remove the old drivers and to install some modded drivers such as the ones you can find @ www.omegadrivers.net and after to install ATITOOL. Now it should work.
Cheers!

EDIT*For example the Saphires came with the clocks unlocked, but albatron had them locked... it depends on your luck if you have to use the modded drivers or it works with the stock ones. You seem to need them modded

I am runnig the softmodded driver from same place you get ati tools from, but was thinking about the omega drivers...mite give em a go when my 3dmark is done, will be nice to see what difference it makes, I did tick a box in the option to unlock the 9600 but didnt seem to do anything
