yea so ive got this 5500 OC that i bought from Wal-Mart because i was to lazy to travel an hour out of town to go to Frys and i just realized that they pre-OC these things and i can clock anything any higher. so i was wondering if i could flash this thing to a regular 5500 or clock it some other way? if yes then how? any suggestions are helpful thank you.

Well using a program ''Rivatuner'' you should be able to clock that card higher..But you may get artifacts due to high Temps..If you do back down the Overclock then test it out in a game. You can always buy better cooling for those things to get a better Overclock.

If you have the drivers installed you should be able to right-click on the desktop and acess the graphics cards utility or setup type screen and look for a tab called clock frequencies if there is not a tab for that then get on the net and search for coolbits. after getting that then you should be allowed to change your clock frequencies (at the cost of void warranty) from there change the settings to 270MHz core clock speed and mem 350MHz (i think those are the correct settings for 5500 not OCed) if not then just search the net for the proper ones. thats about all the help i can offer.

JUST KIDDING!!! thought you wanted to go lower with utilities and or coolbits you should be able to increase the clock speeds without any problems
