And I'm just saying that the stupid argument of a PC costing a lot cheaper than the equivalent Mac is getting really old. The whole world knows that a PC costs less (especially a performance computing forum, so no need to post it for the billionth time), so can we please stop beating this dead horse of an argument? Some people find it worth it. Am I one of those? For the desktops, no. For the laptops, I have strongly considered Apple products in the past. The truth is, personal preference goes a long way in any computing decision. If you want to buy a Mac, buy one and be happy with your purchase. If not, nobody's forcing you at gunpoint. If at the end of the day it does what you need it to and you get enough satisfaction from owning it, it's doing its job, right?
Besides, I only made that last post because the OP of this thread is all about how giving computing advice on POTN is a bit of a crap shoot, really, and not the typical "durr hurr hurr, y u spend ton of money on a mac. u stupid 4 not buying pc for a lot less."
Obviously, I'm using hyperbole.
