I usually boot into Safe Mode by totally hosing my PC and shutting it down by pulling the plug--works everytime--just joshing--F8 for my rig....

hello all im new here, just wanted to know if anyone has the asus p5nd2-sli mobo, i can find safe mode, when i hit f8 it gives me the boot menu instead, i have updated the bios and have no idea what button it is. Thanks

wait for the bios stuff to go, its windows that takes the keypress, so wait for the "Windows Is Loading" screen

you can reset your computer when its showing the windows loading screen, then next boot it'll say that windows didnt start right, and theres an option to boot into safe mode. Thats how i do it.

Thanks for the reply guys! that was fast...but i should tell you guys why i need to see the safe mode screen, its got the enable vga mode on tha same screen and i would like to enable vga, but cant, the f8 dosent work anywhere, and my computer hasnt crashed violently lately so....i dont know what to do

F8 for me but it almost never works, stupid motherboard isn't powering my keyboard on time maybe.
Or just do:
Start/Run/"msconfig"/BOOT.ini/
once there, at the bottom of the page, "Boot Options"
click /SAFEBOOT checkbox. Though, remember that to go back to normal Windows, you will have to go back there and uncheck the box.

Restart your PC and you will brought up directly in safemode.
