Alienware M11x (revision 1) geforce 335m update?

I hope this is right forum- I have M11x, and i'm just trying to figure this out guys. I've had my for about 6 months and there have been updates to the geforce 335m on the nvidia website- which indicates if you have a dell laptop, you should check dell for an update.

If you go to dell the update is the one that the laptop shipped with- Do you guys suggest waiting for dell.com to update? or to just download it from nvidia? has anyone heard if dell will be releasing an update for the revision 1?

Get them direct from nvidia they used to suck from Gateway on my old P-6860 FX.

Your always gonna have the latest going to nvidia aswell.

If i do that, do you think there will be any problems, such as proprietary conflicts- the reason i ask, is because the revision1 has an intel/nvidia hybrid- ie manual swictch, not optimus. Thanks

The latest nvidia drivers won't let you switch GPUs. I would recommend getting modified drivers from the notebook review forums. They have a huge M11x community there.

Yep the stock nVidia drivers dont work well on the M11x Rev1. Best to get them from Dell or the modded ones from Notebook Review.

Hey guys, I recently ran into some issues with the M11x R1 and the GeForce 335m as well.

It turns out you can fix these problems and install the official NVIDIA drivers by disabling the Switchable Graphics from the m11x BIOS settings. Please refer to the following blog post for more information: http://philwinkel.com/blog/?p=36

Anyone wanna try and guide me to volt modding the Nvidia 310M? My Gigabyte T1125 is pretty sweet. The i3 is 1.3Ghz and there's a factory overclock in the BIOS from 1.3Ghz to 1.77Ghz which helps a lot! Brings FSB from 800 to 1066. I bet we could get 1100 FSB Right?

Anyway the Nvidia 310M on here is stock 606Mhz 1.000v 3d... I can go as high as 675 stable but I'm sure we can push for 1.025v!
