alright ill do that tonight.. and post back up. Thanks for the response... Is this hurting the drives performance? Like since its not recognized correctly can it be running incorrectly.

not really cause it doesnt do anything to the current partition but you do have half of what you've paid for .the drive is recognized correctly since it should be recoverable by a simple format of the raw partition,but I think that the "C" partition cannot be bigger than 127GB , dont know for sure though!

Well apart from having SP2 installed you have to remembe there are a few other causes for this. Namely that if you have another smaller partition of some kind on that drive then this will be why as the partition you are in now will only read as 127 becasue another partiton on that drive will be taking up the remaining space. Also you may wish to update your motherboards bios to the latest version as some motherboards are only capable of reading some sized amounts of HDD's a bios update will allow the motherboard to recognise bigger storage HDD'S.
