PC is better than xbox360? - Page 4

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned this yet, but game controllers don't offer the same options as a keyboard/mouse. Every game I play has more buttons being used than any controller I've ever seen, not to mention that gaming without hotkeys is less than stellar. Another thing that sucks, although it's gotten much better, is that consoles have competing titles that aren't available on every console. With a pc, you can play any game created for it. With a console, you have to hope that the title makes it to your particular machine. Lastly, you guys keep mentioning the price point at being $300 to $400 and that's not entirely accurate. Most consoles are only current for a year before a newer machine is released. Good luck buying the newest machine for under $400 at release time Sure, you can wait and let the price settle down, but now you have less time before your machine goes in the closet and you're buying a new one.

Although, I agree, there is no way a $399 GPU alone could beat the 360, let alone the kind of ENTIRE PC that will fit into a $399 budget, so for the price, the 360 is unmatched.
you dont have the same benefits as live.. its apparently you never gamed on live of have gamed on it acorss many differnt games and your statment points this out so i will disreguard your comments for you have no valid leg to stand on ..

as for buying a new tv.. no one said you have to buy a new tv to use the 360 it works on all tvs.. and yes you can do more things on a pc.. but that doesnt mean it owns the 360.. remember fatal the 360 is a game console.. devolped for games and entertainment.. i didnt know homework was entertainment

the controller style is a matter of preferance . many people use controllers on the pc as well.. i personally rather use a controller then a key/mouse combo.. as far as your upgrads.. ha take a look at the differnt in times.. hell it was 10 yeas before the ps had ps2 what was a lot longer then year for the xbox to have a 360 and i promise you that you will have to upgrade your system if youw ant to keep up that is a lot more then that with a pc.. i will end my debate with saying.. each has its pros and cons each does what they do and do it well. IMO have both .. if you cant afford both .. go with what will server your needs the most.. if your just a gamer.. go with a 360 it wont do ya wrong if you need to do more then games.. get pc..

On a pc, you have the option of limiting yourself to a game controller. On a console, the games aren't programmed to have enough options to need a keyboard.
Consoles come out roughly every year now. If you don't upgrade to the newest machine, you can't play all of the games because they're not usually made for older consoles as well. With a pc, they're all the same format. If your box can handle it, you can play it.

its a well known, and undisputed fact that the PC is better than any console.

but my 360 plays all my games perfectly, and quite beautifully.
no complaints here

PS- sccr, consoles come out roughly every 4 years

***** $50/month... are you on crack...

No you just got confused, its actually $50/year. And its worth every penny just for the friends list and voice chat and everything in live is embeded into games. You just get a better sence of community than PC gaming.

As far as AA, I though all xbox 360 games MUST meet 720p and have ATLEAST 4X AA. I swear to god I read that somewere...

Well, pgr for the 360 doens't have FS AA nor does it have car reflections! There are just too many bells and whistles that the 360 removes from the game so that it can run smoothly. I can enable car reflections in NFSMW and use FS AA and I still get smooth framerates. It's obvious that the 360 just can't beat a pc. I preferr the option of enabling or disabling whatever graphics options I want in each and ever game I play.

I also totally agree with sccr about wishing good luck to those who want to buy the newest machine in a year becuase the 360 will be outdated in a year, or by december at least.

"Better" is a very broad term...I prefer more "versatile" or "flexible".

Personally, I don't really care about online gaming; and I don't need any "community" to play my games. This is another example of how different people want different things out of their gaming experiences. All of you trying to lump one platform over another as the "best" one are just spinning your wheels.
