Hi,

i bought a new mobo, ram, gfx card

I tried it the other day and it booted, but as i had no memory it showed nothing on the screen.

The asus .... comes up on screen at first boot up, then it says windows could not load properly. I do not know a way of getting around this.

Please help meee...

The ram arrived today

Thank You

Mark

Ok if you had windows already installed with diffrent components on the harddrive and just changed out those components your going to need to reinstall windows...

If you have your old components lying around you can put them back in get it running back up what you need to then install the other components again.. with a fresh copy of windows

Hmm, so i have to take my gfx card out, and my memory? Please dont say my motherboard too.
P.S - i have no other memory to replace it as my new mobo takes ddr2 not ddr like my other memory i have at home.

Is there a way in which i can resinstall windows with all my new hardware in?

I'm afraid if you had a diffrent Motherboard in there then it'll have to go back in to back up ur data....if you don't really care or don't have much on the hard drive then you can just install windows...but to save it all you'll need to reinstall the old components..

It sucks i know happened to me on my first build

no you just need to reinstall windows, your having driver conflics atm, I guess you could try to take out the new video card and try to see if you can get into windows, but your system is gonna confuse itself unless you know how to take out all the old drivers for everything old you took out or upgraded. It would be just easier to reinstall windows.
For future refrence, the only time you can just swap out mobos like that with no side affects is when the old and new mobos have the same chipset IE: Nforce 4 chipsets ...

hmm the ram I'm not too sure about..Your problem is coming from the chipset in the new mobo....Since it's diffrent..windows doesn't know where to read from

I'm not too sure but i think you can create another partition in the windows setup...there by in a sense splitting up your harddrive..but you'd still have to install a fresh copy of windows on the new partition...

Backing up your data. Like saving pictures, document, music, and things of that nature to flash drives or writing them to CD's.
