Exactly, they probably have people scouring forums like this right now looking for reactions...

The thing is, though, that the boring "Playstation" and "Xbox" names well established brand names that the companies have spent many millions of dollars to ingrain into our minds.

Nintendo is admittedly in a different position here because it is the company name itself, "Nintendo", that we most often associate with their consoles, not the individual console names. People don't say they are going to "play GameCube", they are going to "play Nintendo". It's like Kleenex and Frisbee: people who don't know any better just use the word "Nintendo" as a homonym for "video games". Maybe this is why Nintendo doesn't feel the same need to take advantage of the name brand of their console, their company name is worth far more than their console name.

But still, "Revolution" had so much positive attention already that it makes no sense to switch over to something people find absurd, even if it is "unique".

You dont get it?.. non-gamers would be people who dont play games. They will brake down the wall by making unconventional games that can appeal to people who dont like FPS or RPG's ect ect and dont play games. They are simply gonna make games that they might enjoy, such as a cooking game, or fishing game.
