Are these temps safe? My VCore is set to 1.35v and I'm not showing any signs of instability or Throttling.

Thanks
Safe is a relative term for each person.

In my opinion, you are pushing the edge......and would recomend getting it lower before running at that speed.

Intel Spec Sheet

Intel shows the thermal spec for your CPU is 68c, if your tempeture reading is 100% accurate (most are not), you are right up against the wire.

It is recomended to stay under 60c, with 55c being ideal for good performance and long life of the CPU.

I'm down right now, My mobo fried. I had an eternal black screen, and was diagnosing and zapped my mobo. Luckily I had the 640 in the mobo at the time. I have a new P5WD2-E Prem and a 7900gt co on its way. They will be here, thursday.

Prescott's are ok upto 65c, not 55. My hits 65c @ full load with ease. Thats stock cooling for you... If i hadnt added an intake and exhaust it would probably hit 70+ at like 50% load.

Also why does it say 'Pci-E Evga 7900GT' in you spec? its not like you get AGP 7900's

He asked about his Presler, not the Prescott.

Also, as I said, "Ok" is relative to each person. Some people see the max allowable level as a target line, I personally am more careful.......

Anyway that you could post some SS and / or PCMark05/04 benchies with the 950?
