AMD 4000+ OC Question to all 4000+ Owners - Page 2

4000+ are an odd breed they dont like to do much over 2.8 from what ive noticed and dont like to oc as much as the 3700+. I wouldnt recommend much over 1.6v if you can help it i dont knwo much about asus boards but im not quite sure othert and the +.100.. etc. how to raise the voltage. There might be a keystroke to open more options. Other than voltage you could mess with the ht or chipset voltage a notch or possibly lower the ht multi to say x3 and see if that might help. just tinker but dont be disappointed it s nice oc and 4000+ can be a bit picky to oc.

one thing i have noticed is that the newer.. 4000+'s havent done as well as the early 2005 chips. From what i have seen.. no real evidence to support that ,but it seems like a 3700+ SD is almost guaranteed a better oc at $100 less. But i can't complain because i my chip is stable at 2.9 but 3.0 is out of reach it seems.
