Prometeia Mach II GT is colder but Vapochill LS can handle more load. since CPU is getting smaller and colder either one will be good But if you were to cool a Pentium 4 i would go with Vapochill LS

You got that the wrong way round.

A Prometeia unit can handle a higher load than the Vapochill.

Vapochill uses the same copressor as i'm using in my Water chiller, i believe it's a 1/4HP compressor, the Mach's use a Danfoss NL11F, probably the best compressor on the market and it's bloody quiet... any way back to my point.

The FR8.5CL is a 1/4HP compressor with an 8cc displacement
The NL11F is a 1/3HP compressor with an 11cc displacement.

Vapochill's report a lower temperature on their ChillControl unit but the unit it far wrong.

If you check the actuall evap temp with a Fluke or UIE DT200 then you'll see this.

The Mach also uses 404a unlike the Vapo which uses 507, 404a has a better capacity .

Why not go to extremesystems forum, and pick up one of the nice custom units? I believe they are just as good, if not better, and cheaper too.

That Jin guy is making some units in LianLi cases, that looks soooo good :-)

This is true, Jinu117, live's in California i believe, his unit's are brilliant and really well made.

Chilly1 is a little swamped right now, you can ask him if you want but he's had soooooo much bother with PayPal and people cancelling orders once there unit's are built.

Agree with Petrol, the NF11 is the best compressor i have read. So when i decided to buy the compressor i bought the Embraco with the specs of the danfoss.
Really a great compressor, also it is Made in Brazil
