Hi,

I have overclock my CPU AMD 3000+ to 2700, i have put my memory to auto and when i boot he saw my ddr 400 at 266 is that normal? I have try to set manual my memory to 333 or 400 and he dont boot, I try many things and only when my memory is auto is booting. I dont understand the divider... dont know where is he on my motherboard (A8N-SLi asus) i have read the faq about this mobo but did not understand more

Can someone help me about this?

Is my config looks good when you see this picture?

Your memory is at a divider. It is set for 266 and raises up along with your CPU increase. If you have PC3200 Value ram then you are almost perfect at 193 MHz as most value ram does not easily go past 200MHz @ 2.5 - 3 - 3 -6 timings.

All in all, if you have value ram, you are set up very well and have an excellent overclock (if you are stable). I would see if I could change the DRAM command rate to 1T rather than 2T though. You should be able to do so.

In the Advanced Section of your BIOS:

Timing Mode: Manual
Memclock index value: 266 mhz
Cas latency (TCL) : 2.5
Min ras active time (TRAS) : 6
Ras to Cas delay (TRCD) : 3
Row precharge time (TRP) : 3
Row Cycle time (TRC) : 16
Row refresh cycle time (TRFC) :22
Read-to-write time (TRWT) : 3
Write recovery time (TWR) : 3
1T/2T memory timing : 1
S/W Dram over 4gb remapping : Disabled
H/W Dram over 4gb remapping : Disabled

Welcome to the forums by the way

Thanks, I have the Kingston HyperX version KHX3200AK2/1G 1GB 400MHz 2-3-2-6-1 2.6V did you think i can have better with this? I will try 1t also, i will see a big difference if i use htt 3x or 4x?

Thanks

I don't know about the whole value ram deal, although on the g.skill website mine is listed as value, and I've got it up to 235mhz with no problems, BUT, I have to run it at CAS=3.0 3-3-3-4. If you loosen your timings, up your voltage to 2.8 or so, +/- a few maybe, but don't go over 3.0v I wouldn't recommend. if you start with really loose timings, and set the RAM divider to 5/6, or 9/10, I don't see why you couldn't squeeze a little more out of it. but then again, you may be unstable, just mess around, but don't crank up the volts too high. also, I've noticed with my board that I have to adjust the NB voltage when everything starts getting juiced up, as well as the LDT , just to get to my linux bootloader.

Edit: also, you probably won't be able to run 1T at a high speed, but if you get it fast enough, I guess it doesn't matter so much.

The formula for the HTT/LDT is FSBx(HTT multiplier)x2. I read somewhere on here or DFI-Street that you don't want this to go over 2200mhz, so adjust that accordingly, I have my voltage on this at 1.4v and I've read that it's safe there, I haven't seen any smoke or heard crackley noises yet. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.

This is KHX3200AK2 and CH-5.

FEATURES:
Power supply : Vdd: 2.6V 0.2V, Vddq: 2.6V +/- 0.2V
Double-data-rate architecture; two data transfers per clock cycle
Bidirectional data strobe(DQS)
Differential clock inputs(CK and CK)
DLL aligns DQ and DQS transition with CK transition
Programmable Read latency 2 (clock)
Programmable Burst length (2, 4, 8)
Programmable Burst type (sequential & interleave)
Timing Reference: 3-3-3-8 at +2.6V / 2-3-2-6 at +2.65V
Edge aligned data output, center aligned data input
Auto & Self refresh, 7.8us refresh interval (8K/64ms refresh)
Serial presence detect with EEPROM
High Performance Heat Spreader
PCB : Height 1.250 (34.75mm), double sided component

PERFORMANCE:
Clock Cycle Time (tCK) 5ns (min.) / 10ns (max.)
Row Cycle Time (tRC) 55ns (min.)
Refresh Row Cycle Time (tRFC) 65ns (min.)
Row Active Time (tRAS) 40ns (min.) / 100,000ns (max.)
Power 3.825 W (operating per module)
UL Rating 94 V - 0
Operating Temperature 0o C to 70o C
Storage Temperature -55o C to +150o C

Your timings are good and your divider is fine for that ram. You are running 300HTT so you need to keep your htt Multi at 3 X as 3 X 300 = 900 and 4 X 300 = 1200 which is too much. You can up the voltage to 2.65/2.7 to try tighter timings.

Here's some settings to try:

2-3-2-6@200Mhz: 2.6V
1.5-3-2-6@200Mhz: 2.7V
2-3-2-6@217Mhz: 2.65V
3-3-3-8@220Mhz: 2.65V
3-3-3-8@235Mhz: 2.65/2.7V
