I don't think it has anything to do with heat, unless you removed and re-applied the HS or something. The fact that it OC'ed better in your old rig tells me that there is something fundamentally different about the MB, PS, or something else. Perhaps the voltage supplied to the AGP slot? Or, an AGP setting in the BIOS??

hi sorry for the delay i have been away for the weekend. i puchased an arctic cooler and installed it today so will o/c with ati tool and c what it gets up to and post the results.

hi guys i fitted the arctic cooler (refered by enterprise earlier in the thread) and boy what a difference. i ran ati tool to find o/c limmits, and the first thing i notice is the temps came down from 75-76c on load to only 48-49c on load thats a whopping 26c drop. as a result i was able to o/c to 570/630 from default of 500/500. whereby with ati stock cooler i reached a very respecable 550/610 but with temps way up there. so with new cooler i have a 20/20 o/c higher and a 26c temp drop which i`m sure is more stable for the card.
my 3d mark 05 went up 250 points as well to 6184 with the higher o/c so once again enterprise thxs for the link to arctic coolers what a difference it has made.

Great thats amazing..That cooler is very effiecient in every case i have heard and experienced of..Keep it up.
