Need alittle help with my SSD buy!

Thread Starter
Ok I have been reading posts for about the last two hours so I have not just logged in and asked the same thing with not reading. I'm really leaning the OCZ vertex 2 but I don't know if its the right choice.

ALL!! I want to do with this drive is put windows 7 and WOW on it that's it nothing else. I also have sata 2 so I don't think from reading info online the Crucial RealSSD C300 would really be that much faster for me and I don't really like the lower Write speeds but then again I don't think with what I'm doing I will be Write much.

Any ways any input would be super and also would the G skull or corsair of the same speeds be a good idea if I can fined them cheaper or just stick with the OCZ. Thanks a lot again

The sandforce G skill, Corsair and OCZ ssds are all great. What size are you looking for?

Well then, I would go with the Vertex 2 since it's the cheapest AR.

C300 will be faster regardless of the low write speeds and you not having sata 6g.
Ahh!

I just picked up a G.Skill Phoenix III 120GB Solid State Drive FM-25S3-120GBP3
So far it installed with Win7 Ultinate with no problems and reads and writes well.

i don't know man. I am not a fan of 120gb SSD, they run out of space sooner or later when you get more games or apps or overload it with own docs (pics, videos, whatever)... I'd personally always go for 240GB, plenty of space ... also there is an excellent deal on newegg right now for Crucial M4 240GB @ $169 free ship (use code EMCYTZT2596 ) biggrin.gif

if going with 120GB, then maybe consider 2x120GB and make it raid0 (stripe), SSDs double the speeds when in raid, it's a big plus wink.gif

Double the performance double the price half the security. 120gb is fine. No need to put documents on the sad.
