XP 2600+ System Stability Issues - Page 3

wow those temps are really good, well technically the gurs are going to say at least 8hours for P95, but since we are not OCd and are at stock, run it for an hour, then go back to where u left of and raise that Vcore, again dont go past 1.8, though 1.8 is still safe

You have a VIA 600 series chip set which does not have an PCI/AGP lock!
When you run so far past FSB standards of 133, 166 or 200MHz you PCI and AGP bus also gets over clocked and brings instability!

Oh, on a long shot , that is if you have a premium FHS to cool that 2600+ Barton... 1.8-1.9v and a 166 FSB. But ONLY if you have a premium cooler and your BIOS supports voltages that high!
Keep your full load temp below 55c!!!

I can help, as I have this exact motherboard, and run it with an xp 2500+ barton.

In the bios, there is an option that says "agp read synchronization" be sure it says disabled.

Ditch the 11.5 multiplier and use 11x. With a decent HSF you should be able to run that chip and board to 205x11 = 2.25ghz @ 410fsb with a 1.75vcore. I use a thermaltake volcano 12.

with a barton the multi is most likly locked so the best bet is to try 200 *11.5 that should give u 2300 mhz
try it with stock voltage then if u can,t boot try upping the vcore a notch untill u can get it stable
i have the same mobo and a similar cpu it was,nt stable over 183*11 with tons of voltage but when i tried 200 * 11 (my multi is locked at 11 ) it did 2200mhz without any voltage increasement
