EDIT: Fixed links
Hi all, my goal is to create a build for around 500, how's this?

GTX 460 1GB+4GB DDR3 (175$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...D=3332167&SID=

Litescribe burner (20$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827106333

Athlon X4 + USB3/Sata3 mobo (150$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...D=3332167&SID=

1TB hard drive (70$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-185-_-Product

Antec 300 (40$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129042

Corsair PSU (~30$) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139018

I want to do heavy gaming, don't mind setting stuff on medium. In a year I may get another GTX 460 for SLI.

spend $25 more and get a gtx470. you won't regret it. Just search for deals. They should be about $200 right now and will drop next week when the 570 is released. Also consider a better psu if you ever want to sli in the future. The link is broken for the psu, but I would never sli on a $30 psu. Jjust being safe. AMD boards also don't natively support sli so you would be better off just getting one better nvidia card. Anyway, if you really do plan on having multiple videocards then I would go ATi in ur case since you are rocking AMD parts. Buy it once and spend a little more or end up buying two.

edit, wait. I don't know, wouldn't that bump it up almost $100? Because then I have to buy the RAM separately as well, and $500 was my goal, but if it's REALLY REALLY worth it I could wait a little longer...

NZXT M59 + LG SATA drive (Your preference, 300 + DVD burner is around the same price but that is after rebate)
Stay with the 460 + 4GB DDR3
Looking good

Thanks! I've pretty much settled on the 460 + 4GB DDR3, and almost on the Quad core + MOBO, you think that's a good processor? I mean, how could you go wrong with a Quad core at 3.0 Ghz with 6MB L3 cache amiright?
It doesn't have 6MB L3 cache; there is a chance it is unlockable but it depends on your processor revision (CACDC vs. CACYC). The 6MB L3 can help in gaming but that's about it.

If you plan on doing SLI in the future that 500watt PSU isn't going to be very safe. Consider a quality 650watt or higher.

Oh, I totally misread that =p but a 2 MB l2 cache is pretty good. I'm in this for gaming, but I don't plan on doing things like Metro 2033 maxed out you know? I think a Quad core at 3.0 Ghz is fine for that right?
