Hey i looking for a cooling system for my athlon fx 55. i was thinking about the big typhoon but its a little tooo big.. im thinking about something smaller what you guys think?? also i want it to be silent and cool.

im not sure on your set up but i like zalman. CNPS7000B-Cu LED this model is about the size of a baseball the only down side to zalman CPU coolers is that they are very heavy so you have to be careful when installing them

Its and older heatsink but I have had great results with it, the Coolermaster Hyper6. Put a second fan on there and it will cool mighty fine. Ive transported it all over and nothing has broken. If you have put in all the screws to hold your motherboard down there is almost no chance the heatsink will break your motherboard. That is unless you decide to play soccer or something with it.

The Big Typhoon is big, yes, but that's part of the reason it cools so well. The P180 has enough room. If you still won't get it, go with either the Tuniq Tower 112, or the Zalman 7700 (the 9500 is pretty big, too).
