just a quick question. I have two SATA hard drives in my computer. i want to load winXP on one and have my applications on the other. will this make my computer faster than having the applications and OS on one drive?
thanks,
mike

Yes. I always use anti-virus stuff and firewalls, even if I don't use the internet at all, but are still connected. You're still vulnerable.
And if you don't use a firewall, at least do spyware/adware/virus checks everyday.

last one i promise...this relates to my first question. if i were to put the OS on one hard drive and all my applications on another hard drive. where might i put the page file? on the OS hard drive or application drive? i really do not want to get another hard drive just for that.
thanks.

Having 2GB of ram, it's unlikely you'll need a page file. If you do though, put it on the drive that doesn't have the OS on it.
