Thread Starter
Ok guys, I might be commin up on some money, about 400 and I was wondering, would it perform better with two 7600GT's or just go with one 7900GT?

Thanks

get a 7900gt with the 256bit interface and then later on get another one,
but i think the 7900gt would be your best bet

7900gt and then do the volt mod like sideburns to get crazy mem and core speeds. Then get another one in a few months.

In my opinion, the 7900GT is the best choice. Benchmarks would be very close between dual 7600s and a single 7900, but I think the 7900 would still come out on top. If you have an extra $100 or so left over, consider another gig of RAM, a better keyboard and mouse, an aftermarket GPU cooler and RAMsinks, or any number of other things. I'd say get a 7900GT and an extra gig of RAM. Then your games would run like crazy!

I vote 7900GT (or you could buy my 7800GT for even less) and then use the extra money for some upgraded cooling like a zalman zf900 and then voltmod your card.

I'd say 7900GT with the vmod (going to mine this week) and a cooler over 7600GT's in SLi, it'll be cheaper too

just be sure to get a new cooler if you do the vmod

Get the 7900GT and another GB of memory.

Yeah! Go with the 7900GT! The 7600GT SLI are in many Games much slower then the 7900GT!
Another aspect is you clock the 7900GT like Hell and if you do the one or other Mod the 7900GT really Rocks!

Would be close but get the 7900 as you can also Voldtmod them for insane overclocks and it has a nice 256-bit interface.
