cpu cooling just heatsink?

Im looking for cooling but i dont want it to break my motherboard. What you guys think i want to get the zalman or the big typhhon but i dont wan to damage my motherboard

the BT is THE best cooler out there going by most people on here

ive got a arctic cooling 64 pro which uses the standard fixing on method but doesnt decrease temps as much as a bt does. also some AS5 or that 'cremerique ' or however you spell it, is highly reccomended too

Just be careful and you will be fine. I transport my PC to my Fire Dept all the time to tinker with it. More light there and I'm out of my wife's hair.
