That's correct. These are settings for RAM at stock speed. 400 sets it 1:1, and the RAM speed will increase in that ratio when you overclock the CPU. Thus, when you set the FSB of the CPU on 220, RAM will run 440 (despite the 400 setting, which makes you believe RAM is locked at 440).

Likewise, the lower settings will set RAM on a divider... RAM running slower than CPU, but the ratio stays the same when you OC.

Still stuck.

Okey, I'm still stuck.

These are the last settings I used: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=90880

Memory frequency is on 266 Mhz so the memdevider is 15. So iam not even near DDR400 MHz. Should this be exactly 400? I'll have another try with HTT 300 and cpu multiplier 8.5 and 9. Then the memory runs at 200 Mhz(DDR400).

By stuck i mean, that i can't get my cpu to run stable @ 2600<. My vcore is about 1.58V. The highest setting i can set in my bios is 1.55V So that the max I think.

So after reading bad haze's reply i tried mem. freq. 333 with HTT 240, CPU MutliPlier 11x.(2640Mhz). But then Windows won't start. Loosening the mem timings didn't do any either. But since my memory is at DDR400 with these settings I should be able to use the standard settings for my memory: 2.5-3-3-8-2.
I can't use HTT 300 and memfreq 266 because my max is 280.

If I increase my HTT so my mem runs on DDR451 Mhz I can run Prime95 without any problem aslong as my cpu doesnt go over 2600 Mhz.

That's the strange thing. I can run HTT270x9,5 DDR451 (2577Mhz), but not HTT240x11 DDR400(2640). So that's what I mean by being stuck.

So I think my CPU needs more power which I can't give it unless I vmod or get a new mobo+case/PSU.

Or someone knows a solution.

Ok, I think these will be my final OC settings:

CPU Speed: 2554.0 MHz (original: 2200 MHz, overclock: 16%)
VCore: 1,55V
CPU Multiplier: 10.0x
CPU FSB: 255.4 MHz (original: 200 MHz, overclock: 28%)
VDimm: 2,9V
Memory Bus: 212.8 MHz (DDR425)
Memory Divider: 2/3 (333 Mhz)
HT Multiplier: x4
FSB: 1020
Memory timings: 2.5-3-3-8 (CL-RCD-RP-RAS)
Command rate (CR): 1T

Idle temperature: 33°C
Load temperature: 44°C

CPU-Z Validation: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=92104

Tonight i'll do a stability run and see if it holds up. And maybe i'll try increasing the CPU FSB a bit more.

Also my vidcard can use some more MHz's

I have gotten a new Case and PSU:

Antec P180B and a Corsar HX620W. Finally some real power

So I have started overclocking again, from scratch.

I got it stable now at:
2577 Mhz (245x10.5) (I know about the .5 dividers, but it works )
DDR398 (333Mhz Devider)
HTT 980
Vcpu: 1.55 in bios, 1.58 in cpuz
Vdimm: 3.0V
MemTim: 2.0-3-3-10-1
IdleTemp: 30°C
LoadTemp: 40°C

So now it run nicely.

But I still can't get it over 2600Mhz. Last settings I tried was 2640(240x11). It will post, but before i get the windows load screen i got a black screen saying windows wasn't able to find ntfs.sys or something like that.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get it over 2,6Ghz? It isn't running hot yet and i don't think memory is the problem, cause atm it's running at standard ddr400.

The new PSU won't help you much.

It's a very common fallacy for the "overclockers" to think a high number (not even actual wattage) PSU will let you overclock more. It's a waste 99% of the time.

*****PSU is extreme rarely the limiting factor for your OC.*****

Your system power draw is likely to be 150W under full load. With an 70% efficiency and 20% surge protection, an 250W PSU will be more than enough for your needs.

That being said, your OC is limited by your memory or PCI/PCI-e bus. Try to lower the multiplier, and lock your PCI bus at 33 and PCI-E @ 100.

I'll try a lower multiplier. 289x9=2601

and a larger mem div. 266
