ok so i tried to put it on, big typhoon is actually really huge, i think the compound got smeared all over it. It wouldn't clamp down properly and so instead of having a 70$ heatsink half hanging off, i put the AMD cooler back on. now interestingly enough, the temp is at about 39^C. I just came on to look at hockey stats and was planning to take my comp in on Saturday to have it all properly put together, but jeez... at this point it's not running to shabbeh Life's full of surprises. I'm gonna let this run for about half hour, see what I'm at. Maybe the compound was on wrong. I thought i put the paste on wrong, looked a little splotchy, but the temp is down like 10 degrees... maybe it's just cuz it hasn't been started in a day. lets run some tests, i'll report back

Well it's all back, ended up as a faulty CPU and not enough RAM voltage. The CPU was screwed right from the beginning. Luckily, not my fault. Only charged 45$ which rocks, the BigTyphoon is keeping things at around... about 38-40^. This is pretty much idle. I'm satisfied, having a little prob with far cry but it mite not be the graphics. on high settings, the textures in the water were "floating around", not like water. and on everyhting ultra high (directx 9c and new nVidia drivers) the game closed automatically by itself. however, everything else is successful!
