I was thinking of that duct also, but I think SB and I were talking about the Lian Li BS-03 http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product...34&ss_index=83 (we were, right?)

Now, oddly, thinking about it the BS-03 & the AD-04B TOGETHER might keep it from recycling air as SB noticed (although there still is some issue with air from the vid cooler, depending).

Thinking about heat in the case, I'm putting in four hard drives (and maybe even more in the future), where should different drives go for heat problems (such as 7,2k or raptors vs storage drives). I hope that rambling makes sense.

I'm looking at adding two more drives by using the EX-553.
I'd also like to add the BZ-S01 if it only wasn't $60!

I would think that the lower usage drives would go in the 5 1/4 bays and the drives with the most usage go in the default bay. When ever I get the case Im gonna have ssd on the bottom rack, random storage middle and games drive on the top rack. I figure since heat rises I would keep the most heat producing one on the top to keep the heat off the other drives. But it could work out better with the most heat producing ones on the bottom and work up from there. I'm not sure, I guess I will see once I sell my raven and get this case.

I've had 4 mechanicals and two SSD in my case and heat was never a problem for the mechanicals. I think the max I ever saw like 40c and that was after playing BFC2 for 3 hours with all my case fans at 5v.

3 in the cage and 1 in the external 3.5" is the best setup IMHO. if you put one in the 5.25" its a bit high for any air flow to reach and also would be getting some residual heat from a GPU being right behind it.

Here are some pics of my brothers A05 that I just modded last week. Hooked up him with a nice 120mm blow hole, a C-01B drive cover and some nice cable routing. You can see how I arranged his hard drives. No issues keeping them cool since the Ven X blow right toward them.

Wanna know something pretty cool? I have two brothers and all of us own an A05B with very similar specs (all x58 Asus boards and 5850's lol)

I should get around to taking some pics of all our cases lined up together.

Great looking rig Sexybastard. Has anyone seen any A05 rigs with 2 gpus? I looked through the whole lian li owners showcase and I only seen 1 rig with 2 gpus.

I had two 4870's in my A05 for a while. Upgraded to a 5850 when I saw better average FPS in most games (of course this was with the 5850 at 1000/1200).

Here are a couple pics:

Nice, how was the heat on them? Did they get really hot? I would think they would without a blowhole but how was it with a blowhole.

They are 4870's so they did run hot normally. Max temp on the bottom one was like 80c and the top would hit 70c. Perfectly fine temps since the max is like 100c. The top blowhole helped tremendously since those particular cards did not exhaust out the case so having that hot air blow right up and out really helped. With two cards that exhaust out it would be much cooler but still I think you should have a blow up top with any high end card(s).

Seriously though for people wanting blowholes: Get a grill (I recommend AC Ryan Radgrillz). Get a dremel for $40 (with reinforced cutting disks) and mod the top. Its easy as heck to do since the dremel can cut through aluminum very easily. AC Ryan even has an exact printout you can use to mark the cut out pattern. That 120mm blow hole I did for my brother literally took 10min.

Thanks man for all the great info +rep, they also have a 120mm printout http://www.frozencpu.com/images/prod...df/flc-102.pdf how did you transfer it to painters tape? Or did you just cut through the paper? I planned on 1 blowhole towards the back so my gpus arnt fighting with the fan. God, anyone wanna by a raven?
