How hard is it to cut a 120mm hole in the side panel (maybe into acrylic idk)? What tools would I need? I can just use an existing 120mm fan as a template right?

Easy, just take your time and be careful. If you go a few pages back I have some pictures from when I cut a side intake in my A05NB.

As for tools you can either use a hole saw or a hole cutter. You can get 120mm fan templates online. I would go that route before using a 120mm fan as a template.

Are hole saw sizes the same as fans?

Would these work as templates?

Am I better off buying the the template or printing. I have to pay $10 for shipping eek.gif

EDIT: Did you upload your pictures through image shack? The country I'm in doesn't let me go on the site wink.gif

Hey guys, I'm currently modding my A05NB and was wondering what your opinions are on rotating the hard drive. I've seen it done by stinger, and I have all the tools needed. Is there any downsides to flipping it?

Actually you could fit a 240 rat up top. but yes the HX1000 will fit.

thank you, I planned on WCing so you basically saved my project biggrin.gif

I used a hole cutter and set it to about 115mm. In general you want a hole saw that is slightly smaller than the size of the fan you want to install. Just print the template, that's what I did and it was totally fine. Measure it with a ruler if you want to double check.
