I will have a blackice SR1 360 in the top panel so I doubt I will have a whole lot of space available to me inside the drive bays and that's why I'm hoping I can take them out.

Does anyone know how the 5.25 covers are attached to the case?
Yes the front 5.25 panels are held on by the bays. how many HDDs do you have? you could find a different place to put your HDD then mount them on the PSU.

OR

You could remove half of the 5.25 bays and mount it above the 3.5

I have 2 3.5" HDDs and a 2.5" SSD so I'm not sure where else I can put them especially since I'm putting a rad on the floor.

I have a feeling I'm either going to have to cut into the drive bays or find another way to attach the front panel covers to the case. Any ideas?

My A05 is taken apart so I took some pics so you can get a better idea.

Sorry for the quality.

Looks like the T-LM14B-2 (top panel w/ 140mm cutout) is back in stock @ FrozenCPU and PerformancePCs. I think I might grab one. I would mod it myself but it would cost almost the same to get all the tools I'd need, and then there's the chance of me screwing it up and having to buy a new top panel anyway.

Sorry if this is old news.

If I do end up getting one, should I install a fan for intake or exhaust? What 140mm fans do you recommend that aren't too expensive? ($15 for a fan is ridiculous IMO) I'm thinking about getting a Yate Loon D14SL-12 since I'm already using two D12SL-12s in my case. Just wondering if there are any better options that are a decent price (I can get one for about $10 shipped at Jab-Tech)

If price is a concern get a Yate Loon, pretty much the best bang for buck fan ever. And I would install it as an exhaust fan just to keep the airflow the same bottom to top layout. But you could always try both orientations to see which is better for temps on your CPU and GPU.

i love my noctua p14's but i dought you are willing to $25 for the fan. when i bought mine though i got them from amazon with free shipping because they qualifie for it. i would pesonally do intake that way you can create positive preasure and help resist dust build up. also it gets fresh air straight to your gpu.
