IMHO the new version is NOT worth the extra money. It takes what's good about this case and ****s on it.

A05N > A05FN

Get the normal A05NB

If the top was still available it would be a no brainer. I was really good in shop class in school though so there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to put a top on with a ventilation myself.

My only fear is that I'm looking at the GTX 465 and they are already known to run hot. I think it should be okay though.. right guys?

If you can't get the top cover instantly and you don't feel like modding the top, you can always take the top off while you wait for the replacement top, it helps with the temps, more if you put a fan in the blowing.
That's what I did.
My 560Ti w/ AXP was loading 70*C++ with the top without the fan slot.
Took it off. Temps dropped 15*c or so
Put a 120mm fan there spinning 5V and dropped another 5*C
Now my gpu loads 45*C in games and GPUGrid lmaosmiley.gif
Ugh, still gonna be atleast next week I get the top cover daaamn..

Ya don't get the the FN version. It is basically you standard mid tower wrapped in an A05 skin. Though we could always use guinea pigs for the new version:winksmil1

The only good thing I see about the new A05 is that it has 8 expansion slot so it is technically possible to do 4way SLI/Xfire with dual slot cards. But why anyone would do that in this case is beyond me. I guess it also ships with the vented top panel so that could be another plus.

Well I work in a machine shop so modding the top would be about 5 minutes so I'll just get the older version.

I know that feeling. I love having access to the water jet at our shop. It made modding my top panel super easy and very clean.

I just ordered the A05NB from newegg last week and have it sitting infront of me now, are you sure newegg doesn't have it anymore?

At least it has USB 3.0 and ports on the front, leaving the top panel open to totally modding. Even still i think i still prefer the NB, might even buy another and start a fresh.

Shipping from newegg will cost me a fortune, unfortunately
