2. What's the longest card length that will fit, and is it possible for you to run 2 of the same said longest card? I am moving onto a 6970, and while it looks like one may fit, it seems as though a future crossfire solution may run into the back of a dvd drive.

Also, what do you guys think about adding some slits on the front panel, in front of the exhaust 120mm fan, similar to the slits on the PC-7FN? Would that be a good idea so the heat can leave directly from the front more quickly?
I added a single 140mm fan to the top of mine and it is more than enough (but it does really help). If you're just looking at a single fan, I'd encourage that. If you might WC, then think of a dual 120mm. There is also a top modded from Lian Li.

As far as a video card, I'm hesitant on your 6970 w/o modding one way or another. I have a 6870 in mine and it's almost up to the cages. Many DVD drives stick out the back - so go to a short one (like the afore mentioned Lian Li holder for a slim drive) or maybe even an external.

I'll try to have a pic to show what I'm talking about later. But it is a good case. Good luck.

I have done several builds with this Case and unless you are using a DVD from 1990 it will fit with no elements of size issue. Most are 6 inches long on average now. Even the Blu-Ray players are the same size..
The 140 mm Fan was a really good Idea.. They are quieter and have a bigger hole for Air to escape. As far as I know you are the only one that I know that is using a 140 mm fan (120mm is usual) and I would love to see a picture of that bigger fan on the top.. Thanks for the Cliff Hanger..

It doesn't unless you have really long drives. And then in that case, think about putting the drive in slot two and something else in slot one.

A little bit of pictures to show off / help:

Someone was asking about card length, here is a top down (panel removed) of a 6870 on a full atx board. You can see the bottom of the 5 1/4 tray to the right (I'm using a Lian Li EX-553B 5.25)

Also a good pic of the pass through hole.

Some what assembled:

It'll look better once it gets finished. Waiting on a slim drive.

Thanks for the encouragement on the color choice. Still working on it. I'll post mounting once I get it all wrapped up.

About being a stuffed turkey:
Thinking of adding a second 6870
The other idea would be a perc 5i card and 4x2.5 drives - lots of cables there!

Something to think about:
With the 140mm top, I played fallout:nv for a while and the 6870 only reached 66 degrees and the cpu hit 36 degrees. Certainly the PC-A05 isn't the top cooler in the world, but those numbers are just fine (warmer parts might have more of an issue).

Those numbers are great. 72C is usually what you get in any case under stress. (Air Cooled). Maybe that lower Temp is due to the newer smaller graphics chip. But if not then the case can take the prize for sure..

MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Those are some good temps actually, hell my 6870s in my Raven get to 75-79c after a couple hours of BF2.

Where did you find the top cover for sale?
