Now that I have a micro ATX board (GENE-Z), I'm actually considering moving to a PC-V354 for the smaller size biggrin.gif. Good thing my NH-D14 won't fit in there or else I may have switched already.

I made this prototype cover today. There are two screw holes on top of the hdd cage. I just need to find a way to get a good 90° bend in the aluminum.

with a gtx285 in this case, are top vents/fans a must?

also, how hard is it to add a top fan/vent? can you just remove the top vent piece or do you need to actually cut out the hole?
back in the day..

I would say yes.

And it depends, with the A05N, either you get a replacement top with 140mm slot or you cut the original cover to fit a fan of your choice.
