Top two holes cut. Waiting for one more AP-15 to come in the mail, then I'll post pics of that. Then I'll order a 240mm rad grill to mount to the top of that to finish off the look.

Btw how do you guys fit a 240mm rad at the bottom of the case? I cut out a template and stuck it down there to see if I have enough room for one. NOPE! PSU extends too far and the modular cables on it cut off even more space. Then there's the power connector and the rear fan.

If I can't figure out a way to fit a 240mm rad and/or a 240mm rad is ABSOLUTELY needed for a CPU only loop, I'm probably going to mount one 120mm rad at the bottom and link it to a 120mm rad on the rear of the case.

Laine's mod on the front page of this thread (Simplicity) has a 240 rad on bottom...he just didn't have a rear fan at all, but you could just mount the fan on the exterior of the case.

as far as the power plug, i've seen folks relocate it closer to the mobo. just requires a new hole to be cut...it's up to you where you can redirect it.

hi there...well, i don't have an answer for the rivet size. i didn't derivet mine for my mod.

the sheet metal, be it steel or aluminum can be bought at Home Depot or any large hardware store. you'll just have to cut it to the size you want. the sheet i bought was 18x24 inches...i wanted to have a little extra, for mistakes.

EDIT...do you mean a PSU cover? or the "wall" behind the PSU to hide cables?

I used 1/8" rivets. Pretty much the standard in PC chassis fabrication. I got dome head ones, wish I would have used flush mount/counter sunk though. Getting my side door on is fairly hard because the rivets are out further than the plastic tabs. When I get around to sleeving my cables I will most likely re-revit with flush head ones.

nice! since i used acrylic in mine, i did the same thing. an $8 18x24 sheet has been reduced to .75"x2.25". practically no waste! drive bay covers, psu cover, fan covers, and a false floor. and for the wall behind the psu i just used part of the side panel i cut out for the window.

Definitely gotta come up with a cleaver way to relocate my power plug. I kind of have an idea. We'll see how it plays out when Ivy Bridge comes out

Sad news. I went to jigsaw the top panel, and I slipped.....

Now the whole top panel is ruined. Well here goes $40 spent on PerformancePCs on that replacement top. Or does anyone here who bought the 140mm replacement top have their normal PC-A05NB laying around? I wouldnt mind buying from them if they can help me out.
