length wise a 280 rad can fit where you will run into issues will be with the width. there is only enough room for a 140 fan if fit perfectly in center. if your rad is no wider than a 140 fan it should fit. if you mount the rad to the case with fans you should clear the frame rails but it will cause clearence issues with your mobo if you have a stanard atx board. if you want to see how snug a 140 set up is in the top of the case take a look at my build log in my sig.

Installed 3x Gentle Typhoon AP-15s (Intake, Exhaust, Side intake) and cleaned up the wiring a bit. It wasn't easy since my PSU isn't modular.

Great job! smile.gif

So I ordered a Corsair AX850 today. $140 after rebate and coupon on newegg. I ordered 100ft of Black and Charcoal Grey paracord. I'm setting up for sleeving and painting this December.

What sucks is that I went through all that trouble for getting the C20/C19 port/plug. Oh well. Cant wait!

Instynx...i'm continually impressed with how your working with your rig. I love the ax850's wires...pretty sleek! Question though, why such an overkill way to mount your ssd? not picking on you, but those things can be stuck anywhere in that case out of sight.

also, many users are choosing to turn around their HDDs, completely hiding the power/sata cables by running them toward the front of the case...user "animal0307" has done this i believe and it looks awesome.

i'm sorry if i sound like a nag, and you've been working rather hard on your system, and i think thats great...btw...the red sleeve on those atx and gpu cables looks like blood...love it.

Basically, I knew I had 4 3.5" HDDs plus the SSD that I wanted to put in there, and that cage/mount was the best option for that. Plus I think the SSD looks cool, so I wanted it to be seen. I know, cheesy, but still. I've just got so much crammed in there hardware-wise (the HDDs, having all the front panel bays occupied, SLi) that I want to make sure everything stays cool, for one thing. Flipping the HDDs would necessitate the removal of the front fan, which I'm not comfortable with.

And actually, I am thinking about sleeving the SATA power cable for the HDD's as well, just need to get more 1/8" sleeve to do it properly. It'll look much better then.

and don't neglect the floor of the case, which goes largely unused by so many owners of this case...i have 2 HDDs on the floor of mine, side by side, and the radiator for my cooler with 2 fans in the back..it all fits just fine...certain things are doable.
