You know what. I just noticed the front I/O is on the wrong side of the case now. Small issue maybe, but could make hiding cables a bit more of a pain.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is an I/O ? lol
post #2423 of 3785

Input/Output. It's your usb ports, audio, etc.

Ah yes, it is very visable now and will need some cleaver cable management there, maybe even a thin long coverplate from top to bottom over that area....

Hi all

I finished this mod on 01/22/2008 already but I just found this forum today lol, so here is what I did:

This little hard drive the reading arm on it actually moves, built a little circuit behind it reading the hdd signal from motherboard

This little L shape bracket will improve the air cooling between power supply and harddrive fan a lot because the direction for my harddrive fan is sucking air in

Holy crap! I saw the hard drive and was thinking you were crazy trying to run it with out a top then I say the lights and thought what??? then I saw how tiny it was. What did it come from? iPod I assume.

Anyway great work. I love the creativity.  The psu exhaust is awesome.

Hello, fellow PC-A05 companions!

I'm looking forward doing one awesomesauce mod on an A05, but first I need some measurements done so I don't mistake anything while shopping.

Could any of you please measure the following? I need measures to be accurate (done with a tool, no eyeballing that is biggrin.gif).

  1. Distance from the I/O ports on the top panel to the very end of the case, measured from the inside.
  2. Exact measures of the rear side panel.
  3. Dimensions of the grill that's between the expansion slot covers, the top panel and the rear fan.

Thanks for your help!! smile.gif
