No log I'm afraid, just making it up as i go, trying to think of something different to all the other PC-A05 mods you see.

Hoping to actually finish this one and stop changing my mind! Yes that is another PC-A05N in the background, should have brought some shares in Lian Li =)

OK well at the lack of a log then you better post a lot of pictures here.

Was that with or without the 3.5" HDD cage removed? I thought if I removed that I'd be able to squeeze them in.

The thing is only 1 of them lines up with the 3.5 from what I recall, I think the SLI would cause it to line up with the PSU.

hi guys.. i am joining the A05FNB family... just to check for the top 140mm fan should it be inlet or outlet?

I'm not sure about the A05FN model, but with the A05N its a toss up and is dependent on the hardware in the case. I'd imagine it's similar for the FN. Just try both ways and see. But my guess is exhaust would work best.

Guys I might be going for a custom wc loop sometime during this summer biggrin.gif
It still depends on a few things but hopefully I could buy most of the parts next month.
Will be putting a 5750 underwater and perhaps my CPU lachen.gif (of course I'll be upgrading the CPU later on)
I gotta think about this a little lol, plan ahead and so on.

I have a A05FNB..

I'm considering using both the 120mm as exhaust and 140 top as intake.. reason being that is easier to find a magnetic removable 140mm fan filter that fit the top. (ease of cleaning, but I'm not sure what it will do to the air flow for the top and btm.

currently the back 120mm is intake and front 120mm and top 140mm are exhaust.

do you guys think is a good ideal?

Generally you want to have positive case pressure so that dust is not sucked into the case via cracks, for example the cut outs on the back of the A05

If you would have a high speed 140 on the top and low speed 120's then you still would have positiveish air pressure. Especially if you have the hdd cage full of hdds and the front panel also restricts air flow so you would be safe as long as you have high speed 140. Something along the lines of aerocool shark etcetera

I got a few questions for you guys:

So, is this case discontinued? The inverted motherboard version. I know I should search, but I'm feelin' a bit lazy right now. lol

Which do you guys think has better airflow: the inverted motherboard version or the revised standard motherboard layout version? I figured they should be around the same because you can add a fan on top for the gpu (inverted version) or add fans on the bottom (standard motherboard layout version) and their both blowing air directly towards the cpu.

Also, how loud/good are the stock fans? I really like this case for its simplicity and I kind of want a smaller case so I can put it on my desk, therefore noise/loudness will be a huge issue.

The intake fans don't come with a dust cover?

Is there lots of room on the back motherboard side to tuck wires back there?

The front connectors (usb and audio jacks), are they located on top or on the front? I think it looks much better on top.

Thanks in advance guys and hopefully I will soon be in your club!
