I'd assume they might be, but those HDD's still probably take up more room...

Yeah probably, just thinking "out loud" biggrin.gif

Btw does anyone know if they still produce the A05N? Been checking sites and many of them don't have it on stock anymore, or have just few left (or ridiculous delivery times, like 2-3 weeks)...

They don't produce them anymore I don't think, it is an old model. The FN is the successor.

My bluray drive isn't any longer than a normal dvd drive.
Well now that I look at my old photo of a rig I had (which has dvd+-rw and reading BR)
The BR appears to be a tad deeper but it is an older drive so newer models might not be so deep. But on the other hand the BR drive still is within the 'spec' of 5.25 by looking at the 5.25 slots

Damnit, I was sure that the BR drives we have at work are deeper than the DVD-RW's are. Might be model specific though.

And cheers to the hairy yak, I was suspecting that they've stopped making the A05N cases. Will have to see if there'll be any left when I'm on a market for a case... Would really love inverted atx with a full-size board.

Remember you can always refinish a used one. thumb.gif

FN model is 10mm deeper (longer) at 500mm total length in comparison to A05NB at 490mm. That is why I believe Lian Li state FN model has 280mm space for GPU instead of 270mm with NB.

Also, your Corsair AX850 is 160mm deep. Highest spec PSU and smallest size I have found is Corsair HX650 at 150mm.

I'm still completely 50/50 with which model to go for! I can get the A05NB or FN, choice is sometimes a bad thing redface.gif

If your not using a "large" GPU, then by all means go for the newer model. But there is still something to the heat lifting strait up rather than around the PCB. Minor details are minor details.
