I'm thinking about buying the Lian Li PC-A05FNB. I'm tired of my oversized NZXT Phantom. I finally find this amazing case that can fit all my stuff.

But what is your opinion on buying it with those noise dampening materials? The ones in this link http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Lian-Li-PC-A05FNB-Midi-Tower-black-gedaemmt::17053.html ??

It's 30 euro extra, and I really like things to be as silent as possible.. Will I even need this? Will it give me temperature problems? I'm running with a i5 2500k paired with a Noctua NH-D14 and a VTX3D Radeon 7970. I have no heat issues in my current case, I actualy have very very low temperatures..

its like mt everest on that side panel! i dont know too much about the foam stuff other than it will probably retain heat like crazy. just get yourself some silent fans and you should be fine. keep in mind that this case isnt meant to keep your system ultra cool like a cooler master case.

the bitfenix spectre pro series fans i hear are quite amazing when it comes to sound and cooling ability.

hmm if you use stock casing, noctua fans and Thermalright TY-140.. your system should be quite silent.

The most noisy part will be your GFX wink.gif so if you think those foams can dampen your GFX sound, by all means do but I rather get a dracula to do the job biggrin.gif

I have not got around to showing off my latest case mod. So here it is, I cut off the bottom of my PC-A05FNB, Flipped the back and tray, and made a new bottom out of aluminum. I also changed to air flow pattern, I now intakes in the top and blows out the front, back and bottom. Please disregard the dust have not cleaned it in about a month or so, and let me know what you all think about it.

I wonder if a 140mm fan would fit on the bottom of this case.

Technically three will fit but only 2 are useful. Same with the top too if you are curious. but there is theoretically zero room for error. This is my A05N not the FN btw. It's a tight fit but can be done.
