its a 140mm fan cutout. what do you mean by best fan? best quiet, best air flow, best of both? i dont think the top panel is removable unless you cut the rivets.

I have an unbelievably annoying vibration coming from somewhere when HDD seeks. I'm using the Scythe 5.25->3.5 Anti-Vibration adapter.

The top of the FNB is removable by 2 screws in the front and 2 in the back. For 140mm quiet fan take a look at Noctua(tan color), Coolermaster, Scythe, Yate Loon. 19dba is pretty quite and you want high enough cfm or static pressure to move enough air. You'll need a grill for the top and you can find one at Performance-PC and they are not filtered. You'll also need the correct size/color screws because the ones in the 140mm cover plate won't work and the grill won't come with screws. The screw heads needed are smaller than standard fan screw but I couldn't tell you a size.

^ What he said. The top panel comes off easy. And I imagine the fan panel does too.

I love Noctua fans as much as person that love high quality quiet fans but their 140mm fan, NF-P14, doesn't have standard mounting holes for a 140mm fan. It's mounting holes match a 120mm fan pattern. It's not a problem because they do provide adapters to mount to a 140mm pattern and it comes with all the screws and adapters you could ever need. But you pay the premium because they are like $25 a piece and are worth every cent.

As for other fans I can't really offer much input as I only have Noctua fans and anything else just doesn't compare in my opinion.

Has anyone tried putting 3 120mm fans in the front?

That's good question. I believe someone has put a fan in the 5.25" expansion bay but I'm not sure about more that that. Also someone on another forum ( [H]forum I believe) cut the front out for the PSU exhaust.

The problem is that the front is pretty cluttered on this case (PSU, HHD cage/exhaust, Expansion bays)

Couldn't you squeeze the 120mm fans between the case and the front panel?

With the inverted atx (a05n) most people here have seen better results for gpu temps with the top fan as an intake. The gpu and top fan fight for the same air when used as an exhaust. This tends to starve the gpu of air. Some have seen a 5-15 degree temp reduction by flipping direction.

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement power cable assembly for this case? I need everything including the right angle cable and the bracket for attaching it to the case.
