the fan on the bottom near the cpu blows air in

so if you are looking at the inside of the case then the air moves from right to left

the one in the harddrive area will actually go out towards the front

the air from the case more or less goes from back to front instead of front to back

A common problem with this case is that there is a dead spot of air above the GPU. There are a couple ways to get air up there:
1) Mod the top panel yourself or buy a replacement one (which is a bit pricey these days) that has a fan mount preinstalled. There are a number of pics out there that have examples of this.

2) put a slot fan in a PCI slot above the GPU

3) Install that Lian Li BS-03 fan that mounts on the vertical vents and faces the GPU. It seems like this can either suck or blow, but I've not heard which is preferable. Mine is in the mail, I think I'll have it blow onto the gpu and let the GPU run that air through it's fan and over the chip.

All of these are decent options, I think 1 and 3 are the best. When I get to a place where I have real tools, I think I'll do the top panel mod, but for now, we'll see how the BS-03 works.

Hope this answered your question.

Hey, I got this case. It's really nice.

However, I'm really concerned about my HDD temps. They're both getting above 50C. Any way I can fix this? They used to run at 30C.

You need a blow hole in the case. It sounds like you have a build up of heat in the top of the case. You can do your own blow hole.

  1. Just get a 4 1/2 inch hole saw and then tape your area that you will be working with.
  2. Draw an X from the back of the case to 1/4 of the cases length.
  3. Drill a small pilot hole in the center of the X then use the hole saw to cut the hole.
  4. Then place the fan over the hole and drop some ashes or flour through the screw hole and then drill your screw hole.
  5. Then buy a really nice fan shroud.

  6. Put the shroud on the outside top of the case and the fan on the inside bottom of the hole
  7. Mount and power it by the MOBO fan plug on the bottom.

i just ordered the PC-A05, and was wondering how you guys did the cable management?

I had the PC-8N before and what I did was just cut out holes on the motherboard tray for better cable management. I figure the A05 tray is way to small to drill such holes.

Please advise.

Thanks

That is aircraft grade aluminum. You can drill it till it bleeds and not hurt it. I have thought that the case is very well thought out but a Mother P4 8 pin hole at the top would be good as well as a few other access holes. But don't think that this case is a panzy.. It is a very light and very Tough Hombre'
